We’re only halfway through 2009, yet it already looks like this will be the year of Dakota. During his sabbatical in London at the turn of the millennium, Markus Schulz conceived this alter ego for certain productions – a darker, more progressive side of him which has been the foundation for the hallmarked Coldharbour sound. Dakota coming from the name of the street he lived on in Arizona in the 90’s.

A State of Trance 2009, Tracklist

Divided onto two disc, a total of 29 tracks will provide you all the right sounds to get into that state of trance. The first cd covers the ‘On The Beach’ theme, with a spellbinding intro and purely melodic oriented sounds, while the second disk, ‘In The Club’, breaths one of Armin’s club sessions, with a distinctive peak-time sound.

It’s been a heavy year for DJ Armin van Buuren. Non-stop touring, setting up his own Armin Only show, prolonging his number one status in DJ Mag’s Top 100 of 2008, providing more than 30 million trance fans with his weekly radioshow, releasing his third artist album ‘Imagine’ and last but not least, crashing into the charts with the fifth edition of the A State of Trance series.
